Light and Airy: Stylish Linen Outfits
Linen is the epitome of effortless style and comfort. With its natural fibers and breathable weave, linen keeps you cool while exuding a relaxed elegance. While linen is always in fashion, let’s refresh your wardrobe with some updated looks for 2024. Here are my favorite linen items and how to style them.
The Linen Midi Dress
Midi dresses have the elegance of a long dress but the everyday-ness of a short dress, which is why it’s just the right dress length for summer. I personally love dresses that cinch at the waist or form corset-like tops, as it accentuates your figure. This year you can’t go wrong with a printed midi dress. Complete the look with sandals and a straw bag.
The Linen Button-Down Shirt
A linen button-down shirt is a must-have. I think there are few people who actually don’t need this in their capsule wardrobe. Wear it to the office tucked into high-waisted trousers or unbuttoned with shorts for a laid-back weekend look. If you don’t need to be told this twice, look for a button down in a different shade or with some simple print like stripes. Styling tip: Roll up the sleeves for an office look!
Linen Vest and Pants
This may be my favorite 2024 trend. It’s a masculine trend that even the flirtiest of girls can get behind. This is the perfect office-to-bar look. It’s formal but still so cool!
The Linen Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits are the dresses for women who don’t like wearing dresses. Linen jumpsuits are just as breathable and as easily styled. Granted they’re awful when you need to go to the restroom…But on the other hand, you can wear them pretty much anywhere, to dinner with friends or to pick up your kids from camp.
Tips for Wearing Linen
Embrace the Wrinkles: Linen’s natural texture includes wrinkles, which add to its charm. Don’t stress over ironing out every crease – it’s part of the look. Plus who can iron in the heat of summer?
Layer Smartly: Linen can be ~slightly~ sheer and that’s perfect for some of us. But in case you need a bit more coverage, layer with lightweight camisoles or slips as needed.
Care for Your Linen: Wash linen in cold water and avoid over-drying to maintain its quality. Air drying is best to prevent shrinking.
I think you could go all summer just wearing linen! Do you have any linen related questions? DM me on Instagram or let me know on our Facebook page.
